Javaria Sarmad
Managing Director
Javaria is the Managing Director of Holmes Peat Thorpe Chartered Accountants. She is a FCA with over 23 years of experience in audit, accounting, tax, corporate governance and business advisory. Having served at senior management positions at a number of leading organisations including Deloitte LLP, Santander and Ernest & Young, she has a strong track record in assurance and advisory along with business strategic planning, accountancy and tax in private sector
Javaria’s area of expertise is her ability to combine sound commercial advice with tax planning for businesses. In the case of owner-managed businesses, she is experienced in delivering the personal objectives of the individuals involved and in responding to the specific challenges of those who mix business with family life.
Carol Daglish
Accountant
Carol is a fully qualified member of The Association of Technicians ‘’AAT’’. She has over 17 years of experience working in the practice across a varied client portfolio. Having joined the practice in May 2004, Carol is motivated by the challenges ahead and a diversified client portfolio of many sectors. The ambition and excellence of Holmes Peat Thorpe coupled with the alignment of Carol’s specialisms and hard work look to continue the exemplary service expected by valued clients.
She looks after our individual and corporate clients requirements and is responsible for corporate and personal tax, payroll, year-end/management accounts, trusts and partnerships.
Carol is married with a daughter. She has a broad range of interests including driving, going for long walks with her dog and spending time with her family.
Lee Tiller
Accountant
Lee Tiller is an experienced accountant and have worked for the practice for over 22 years. She is part qualified member of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants ‘ACCA’.
She focusses on a portfolio of clients from SME-market to sole proprietors, as she strongly believes in supporting entrepreneurs in their businesses. She enjoys working closely with them to support in their varied business-processes and making compliance easy for them.
Lee is married with two children and loves to spend time with family, attends weekly Zumba class and enjoy going for daily walks in the countryside.
Marilyn Gillard
Accountant
Marilyn is a fully qualified member of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants ‘ACCA’. She has over 17 years of experience working in the practice across a varied client portfolio. Having joined the practice in 2004, Marilyn is motivated by the challenges her role brings specially ones presented by a varied client base over many sectors.
She looks after our individual and corporate clients requirements including charities and trusts. Her area of specialism is in personal & corporation tax, statutory & management accounts, payroll and various company secretariat responsibilities across diverse portfolio of clients.
Marilyn is married, she enjoys travelling, weekend walks and daily Peloton exercise sessions.
Motun Abiola
Practice Administrator
Motun joined Holmes Peat Thorpe in 2022 as practice administrator. She has done Bachelors in Business Administration and currently pursuing Masters in International business. She has been working in customer service for over 10 years before joining Holmes Peat Thorpe.
She enjoys getting to know new and existing clients and supports them across client lifecycle journey. She is very hard working and believes in making admin tasks efficient, simpler and easier for both clients and the practice.
Motun is married with three daughters and enjoys watching movies and spending time with family.
